It's not all doom and gloom!
Volunteer Luke Schlanek raises £500 after clocking up his impressive 50 hour 'labour of love'!
Rarely a day goes by without bad news about our financial institutions these days so it's refreshing to hear something positive for a change. HSBC Bank run a local community initiative for their staff to spend time helping out in the community with registered charities. Luke Schlanek, a team member at HSBC, has been a regular volunteer for Rox for a number of years and for the last two years, he has clocked up an amazing 50 hours working with the Rox Crew at the festivals and other Rox events. Having reached the maximum target available for staff sponsorship, Nick was delighted to be able to hand over a cheque for £500 to the local music & arts charity.
Luke's son Nick is bass player with Golden Boulder so it would appear that music runs in his blood which must have been an invaluable boost when clocking up his impressive 50 hour 'labour of love'.
